K-POP STAR TALENT CONTEST

Winner of K-Pop Star Talent Contest will win a fully paid trip for 2 to Korea. They will meet K-Pop Idols 2PM and Miss A personally to film a promotional video together for Korea Tourism Organization.

Judging criteria:
• 30% voting from ground, 70% by judging committee
• Judging will be based on stage presence and vocals

Prizes:
• 1st Prize – A fully paid trip for 2 to Korea, meet and film with 2PM
   and Miss A for Korea Tourism Organization promotional video!
• 2nd Prize –Tony Moly hamper worth $400
• 3rd Prize – Tony Moly hamper worth $200

Requirements:
• Contestants may compete solo or in group. There is no age limit for the contest. This contest is open to all nationalities, residents and non-residents of Singapore.
• Registration fee for each solo/group: $20
• The video submitted should be a maximum of 5 minutes, including introduction and performance. Video format can be in WMV or MPEG format. Alternatively, video can be uploaded to Youtube. Read registration form (click here to
download) for more details.
• Contestants must be available to perform at the Culture We Love: Korean Festival 2012 (CWL) during Semi-Final and Final if shortlisted. Failing which, applications will be deemed as null and void.

15 January 2012 to 26 February 2012

Winners Announcement
Announcement will be made on 18 March 2012 at City Square Mall during the Culture We Love: Korean Festival 2012. Three winners will be selected and invited to receive the awards on stage.

How To Participate
1. Be a fan of Culture We Love: Korea Festival 2012 facebook fanpage http://facebook.com/culturewelove

2. Email your photo entry to Faith & D at cwl@faithndentertainment.com
Select a photo that you have taken during your trip to Korea. The photo can be the beautiful scenery in Korea or any subject related to Korean culture.

Include the following information in your email
a) Your Name as in the NRIC/FIN
b) Your Facebook User Name
c) When and Where the photo was taken
d) Photo Caption (Less than 20 words)
e) Your Contact Number and Home Address

3. The selection committee will upload your photo onto Culture We Love Facebook page once it is deemed as qualified entry.

4. Invite as many friends as possible to “Like” Culture We Love: Korean Festival 2012 facebook fanpage http://facebook.com/culturewelove. Ask them to “Like” your photo.

5. The entry that has the most “Likes” will be conferred the title “The Most Popular Korea Is Beautiful Photo”. This is a popularity award and is a separate award from the photo contest.

6. The selection committee will shortlist 15 entries to showcase at the Culture We Love: Korean Festival 2012 between 12 and 18 March 2012 at City Square Mall. From the 15 entries, 3 winners will be selected for the Korea Is Beautiful Photo Contest.
*Please note that the entry that has the most likes may not necessary qualifies for the final round of competition.

Terms & Conditions
1. Korea Is Beautiful Photo Contest is open to all Singaporeans and Residents of Singapore who are 13 years old and above.

2. Participants must be a fan of the Culture We Love: Korean Festival 2012 facebook fanpage http://facebook.com/culturewelove

3. All photos uploaded MUST BE TAKEN BY PARTICIPANTS. Any photo found guilty of plagiarism will be disqualified.

4. Each participant is limited to ONE ENTRY ONLY.

5. All participants are required to keep high resolution file image.

6. The “Most Popular Korea Is Beautiful Photo” award will be determined based on the number of “Likes” received by 6pm on Wednesday, 29 February 2012. Should there be any tie of “Likes” between 2 entries, the content of the Caption will be used to determine the winner.

7. The 15 entries shortlisted for the final round of competition at City Square Mall are selected based on judging criteria. The judging committee reserves all rights to determine the shortlisted entries and the winners for the Korea Is Beautiful Photo Contest. The judging committee decisions shall be final.

8. Faith & D Entertainment and the Presenter for “Korea Is Beautiful Photo Contest” submitted for the contest and may exercise its sole discretion to use the photos for future promotional, marketing and publicity activities in any media worldwide without notice and fees payable to the participants.

9. Faith & D Entertainment reserves the rights to amend the above mentioned terms and conditions without any advance notice.

Contestants will compete at City Square Mall Atrium on 17 & 18 March 2012 during the Culture We Love: Korean Festival 2012

Semi- Finals, 17 March 2012
Group 1 (10 Participants) – 11am to 1pm
Group 2 (10 Participants) – 2.30pm to 4.30pm
Each person will have to cook 2 Korean dishes, namely a) PAJEON and b) BULGOGI.  The top 2 winners of each group will proceed to the finals on Sunday, 18 March

Finals, 18 March 2012
Finals (4 finalists) – 2pm – 3pm
The 4 finalists will each have to cook a dish using Kimchi as the main ingredient.

Tidiness – 10%
Taste – 40%
Creativity – 20%
Presentation – 20%

1st Prize – 1 pair of Return Economy Air Ticket to Korea
2nd Prize - $400 Korean Restaurant Food Voucher

4th Prize - $100 Korean Restaurant Food Voucher

Terms & Conditions

• Contest is open to all Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 18yrs and above.
• Contest is strictly for amateurs who enjoy cooking as a hobby instead of cooking as a profession or gaining any form of income from it.
• A briefing session will be held prior to contest date.  During the briefing, we will inform you the complete list of ingredients that will be provided on the day of contest.
• Participants have to utilize all ingredients provided.
• Cooking utensils will be provided.
• Participant must bring own crockery to present dish as points are given for presentation.
• Participants are allowed to bring and add other fresh ingredients (eg. Vegetables).  Non-fresh ingredients like pastes, seasonings and flavor enhancers are not permitted.
• Prizes are non-exchangeable and non-transferrable.
